The picturesque little town of Union is located on Hood Canal's South Shore, 16 miles south of Belfair on SR-106. Union has a delightful selection of small shops, cabins, country stores and gourmet restaurants that are open year-round. For those who care to experience the waters of Hood Canal up close, kayaks and other watercraft are available for rent at Hood Canal Adventures located at the Hood Canal Marina
on SR-106. Guided kayak tours up the nearby Skokomish River provide opportunities to view local wildlife. Public boat launching and moorage is also available at the marina, which was recently
expanded to offer a fuel dock, pump-out facilities, potable water, electricity and 30 spots for short and long-term moorage of boats up to 80 feet.

The luxurious Alderbrook Resort and Spa (alderbrookresort.com) serves as one of Mason County's two premier resort destinations, the other being the Little Creek Casino and Resort (little-creek-casino.com) near Shelton.
